The Treeve DS24 has been designed to satisfy a variety of
working requirements. It  can be operated from shallow water and tidal
harbours where it is a necessity to berth at all states of the tide.


The vessel has been constructed to give maximum ease of
handling and can easily be worked by a single crew member. This has proved
to be a major economic feature of the DS24 where the expense of additional
crew will limit the cost effectiveness of a small fishing operation.


However, the DS24 is equally happy with multiple crew
as proved with winter mackerel fishing in the English Channel and off Lands
End.


A vessel working in such conditions
must have an excellent standard of sea-worthiness and the DS24 does not
disappoint. With its very
heavy lay-up and construction this boat has a well proven capability.


The DS24 is available as an open boat or three standard cabin options are
available, full forward, traditional Cornish, forward offset or aft pillbox style.


The Treeve DS24 is fitted with our standard
heavy duty keel irons made from 3/8" plate and �" lugs. Timber keels for
beach launching may be added. T
here is ample
room forward of the inboard diesel engine to fit an hydraulic pump and
equipment. The deck may be self draining or loose board depending of
preference. The steering may be either underhung steel semi-balanced or
traditional transom hung timber rudders.

13oz Laminate made up as follows:-
1 gel coat
1 x 1oz CSM and 6 x 2oz CSM
300mm (12") either side of keel reinforced to 23oz/sq ft by adding 5x2oz CSM
Area within 380mm (15") of sheerline reinforced to 19oz.sq ft by adding 3x2oz CSM
Sheerline reinforced: Lay-up 2 x 2oz CSM
Keel joint reinforced 1 x 1oz CSM and 5 x 2oz CSM
Transverse
frames 75x50mm (3x2") polyurethane expanded foam encapsulated by 3
layers x 2oz CSM, staggered and carried onto hull by a further 150mm
(6") spaced at 460mm (18") intervals from transom

KEEL
Galvanised 100x 12mm (4x�") steel strap with lugs to be extended to rise at stern. Skeg iron 12mm (�")

Shaped galvanised stemband and steel cap to deck

Underhung galvanised steel with bolted flange for prop removal. Bronze stuffing box, kicking rings and emergency tiller.


WHEELHOUSE
Rigid GRP with 10mm toughened glass windows

Water injected system with diesel exhaust hose
